VIENNA ARTS ORCHESTRA
The Vienna Arts Orchestra was founded with the intention to provide a challenging musical platform for selected and well established musicians. To ensure a high quality of soundtrack and music recordings, regular performances are crucial to its members.
Professionalism and enthusiasm are essential for opera galas and crossover events, where classical music meets modern art forms such as theatre, comedy & literature.
As part of the “International Film Music Symposium Vienna 2013” the VAO performed a recording showcase with Hollywood’s famous composer and conductor David Newman. In the same year the orchestra recorded the soundtrack for the ZDF television production “Der Wagner Clan. Eine Familiengeschichte”, which was released on CD by Sony Music. Additionally advertisements were produced for Red Bull.
The Vienna Arts Orchestra fosters a close relationship and cooperation with the “Universität for Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien”. In the course of the “Film Composers Lounge 2014” compositions of students were played live at Porgy & Bess.
The VAO has already collaborated with many renowned personalities such as musical superstar Andrew Lloyd Webber, opera singers Erwin Schrott, Katarina Tretyakova and Charles Castronovo, well known violinists Lidia Baich and Aleksey Igudesman, conductor Jurek Dybal and Latin-American Singer and composer José Feliciano.
Furthermore, the Vienna Arts Orchestra has performed for MTV Unplugged (Andreas Gabalier), Disney in Concert (Frozen), Best of John Williams, Disney Fantasia, Hampson & Pisaroni, Universal Music UK (Bruton Music) and the TV-Production of Shanghai Huahua Zaozao Film & Television Culture Media with leading actors Wallance Chang and Wang Xiaochen at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.
Working with different ensembles, from chamber all the way up to symphonic orchestra lineups, the Vienna Arts Orchestra tries to attract a new and wide ranging audience, not only through a classical & romantic repertoire, but also with high-quality productions including opera, show, film and videogame music
